Flag ceremony at school

           Monday morning, the students have flag ceremony  around 7.00 am. I had a chance to joined with them. They sing national song of Indonesia. Then,they will have say somthing in Bahasa Indonesian. I don't understand. This ceremony like Thailand, but Thai students will have to ceremony in the morning everyday before they have a classes.
           After that, I met my teacher coach and he told me that he didn't have a class. Then, we talk about Thailand and Indonesia. He want to know about cultural, food, way of life in Thailand, and so on. I asked about Indonesia too. He is kind and smart teacher and he taught me about lesson plan of Indonesia. 

        After school, I went to Galeria Mall with my friends by walking. We are so hungry! We order Cabcay seafood soup. It is mixed vegetables and I order ice tea. It is the popular drink in Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta doesn't have pork beacuse Muslim don't eat pork.I have ever asked my friend about that and I understood. Finally, my friends and I came black our dorm and took a rest.

Amazing observation in the class

         All week, I just observed in Enlish class of Mr. Ponijo. He have teach in English classes everyday. I observed grade 9 class D about 3 hours. They practice English skill outside classroom. They are happy and enjoy their class. Then, they took a break about 15 minutes. The students came to class again and Mr. Ponijo taught until time left 15 minutes. After that, I introduced myself to them in front of class. I'm so excited! The students had any questions. They asked about Thailand such as food, temple, actor, actress, national song, Thai language. They asked how to say 'I love you' in Thai. I told them 'Chan ruk khun' and write it on whiteboard. They are interested Thai Language. I'm very happy to meet them. After this class, Mr. Ponijo asked me that 'what do you think about students?' I think that students are very cute. Some students can speak English well and they don't be shy. 

         I still observation another class. I learned with lovely students. They are excited when I joined their class. I also introduce myself to them. I said Selamat pagi. They think I can speak Bahasa Indonesian but I told them that I can speak  Indonesian a little bit. They want to know how to say Good morning in Thai language. I told them the girls can say "Sawaddhi khra" and the boys can say " Sawaddhi khrab". They can pronouce it well. I'm very fun! 

        After I observed in English class.The English teachers focus on 4 skills in English (speaking, writing, listening, and reading), so the students can speak English well. They don't be serious when they have English classes. I have got many new experience from them. We learn together. 

Let's teaching practice

          My topic is showing admiration. Then, I learned syllabus, textbook and I made lesson plan. Then, I prepare material for teaching such as power point, video clip. I have taught grade 9.

          First of all, I greeting with them and introduce myself to students. Next, I showed material to them. I taught Adjectives to show admiration and I gave some examples. Then, I asked them about adjective. They could tell adjective to me. After that, I showed dialogue and video clip related showing admiration. The students read dialuge together and then they let prectice speaking with their friends. I asked students as volunteer to speak in front of the class. They could make it well. Next, I taught how to express of admiration and how to respond. I took a sample from the dialogue. It made sure their understood. I showed some picture and asked them " how to express of admiration". According to,I showed pictures on power point. Students found thier partner and chose number 1-12 from me. Then, students chose one of the pictures and make their dialogue expression of admiration for 5 minutes. Then, I would random their number to present in front of the class. Finally, I asked students about this topic. I glad to meet them. 

            In addition, the teachers this school are very kind. Mr. Ponijo is my supervisor teacher at school. He is very kindness and he told me about school, students, and materials. He taught me everything such as how to manage in the class. He recommends for teaching in English class and gives inspiration to me. He is a good English teacher for me.

Last day in Yogyakarta

          I had ceremony at SMPN 1 Yogyakarta in the morning. We met lecturer from Yogyakarta State University, our teachers at school, some students and our Indonesian friends for saying thank you. We showed Thai dance and invited lecturer dance together. We gave bunch of flowers for them.Then, we said goodbye our friends. I appreciate that they are kind and took care of me very well. I have got many experience from here. Although I am not the best one, I will be better one. The students are very lovely. I like system Education Indonesia because teachers and students discuss in the class well. They focus on four skills in English. Some students be shy to speak English the same Thailand.

          After farewell, we take photos together. I would like to say thank you very much! I will keep my mistake to develop English skills.If I have a chance, I want to come here again. I love Yogyakarta and Indonesian people here. I will keep good thing in my mind. 

Social-cultural events

My trip in Yogyakarta

            
          On my holiday,Yusuf and his friends pick me up at my dorm. He told me last night, we will travel around Yogyakarta by motorcycle. The first place, we are going to Candi Sambisari. There is Hindu Temple. It is one of the famous place in Yogyakarta. He took me 20 minutes to get there. Then, he paid tickets for me and my friends. The price is very cheap but the place is very nice. Although the weather is very hot, the people is not crowded. We took a lot of photos. We are enough. After that, we went to Soto Batok. It is not far from Candi Sambisari. We had a brunch. First time, I ate Soto. The taste is very good. I think that is like Thai food. They didn't use bowl but they use coconut shell. It is great! Then, we went to the second place. There is Sultan Palace (Keraton Yogyakarta). Yusuf told me about  Palace is not only home to the king and his family, but also becomes the flame guard of Javanese culture. I visited museums. It is interesting! Nowadays, the Keraton is a piece of living history and tradition. I like to learned history of another country and also history of Indonesia. It make me know about the way of life, cultural, religion and so on. Most Indonesian are muslimm and I have heard Indonesian friends spoke Javanese language.

        After that, we went to Depok beach. It is Indian Ocean. There is so beautiful! It has big wave so I cannot swim and it has black sand. Then, we had dinner at restaurant near the beach. We order rice, fish, Fried morning glory,fried squid, and drinks. Most Indonesian use their hand to eat rice. Sometimes, I use my hand to eat like them. 

The last place of today, we went to Gumuk pasir. There is desert. Bai, he is new Indonesian friend of this trip told me that the most of teenager like to take photos at Gumuk pasir. Then ,they will share it on Instragram. Finally, we came home about  5 pm. 

                              

Borobudur Temple

           My favorite tourist attraction in Indonesia is Borobudur Temple because there is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world, this famous Buddhist temple. It is a wonderful place. I traveled there on Sunday. So there are a lot of people and it hard to took a nice photo. 

Pindul Cave

          I went to Pindul Cave with my friends on holiday. It is an amazing place because the cave has stalactite, stalagmite, and bats. I was very fun when I was an adventure in the river inside a cave by using lifebelt and life vest. Ghoffar and Frentika joined this trip with us. It is first time for them too. 

Baron beach

        Then, we went to Baron beach. It is very beautiful beach but there is crowded. I've got a boat for a trip around the beach. Wow ww It's so cool! I really like Baron beach! 

Indonesian food

           I always eat Bakso at restaurant with my friends (Mo and Toey) in the evening. Bakso is like Thai noodle food and I can eat it. It has big meat ball. It is delicious! I like Sate very much! It made from chicken (Ayam). I bought it around my dorm and in front of school. Sometimes, I had lunch with my friends after school at SS restaurant. There have many menus.  I always order Indonesian morning glory, chicken, and fried squid. I like to drink ice tea (teh) and it has every restaurant. Most Indonesian foods are spicy and sweet. I like it! Sometimes, I went to Galeria Mall on third floors. There has food center. I always order Mie Ayam Katsu and Cabcay. The taste is very good.

The 13th JETA national conference 2016 at Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta

          I had a good opportunity to joined The 13th JETA national conference 2016 at Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta.  I got suggestion from Ms. Susana. She is an English teacher at SMPN 1 Yogyakarta. I joined this conference for two days. I have never joined like this. It is interesting. I had many new experiences. In the morning, we joined together at convention room. Then we would study in the class. I was very happy to meet English teachers of  Yogyakarta. In the class, the lecturers taught about technique for teaching such as how to make material and how to use media. They discuss in the class well done. They are interested and enjoyed in the class. In the future, I will be an English teacher like them. I can take everything from this conference to teach my students. It is a great! 

My friends and I took picture with Mrs. Susana. She is a kind person and very cute. I have got many expereince from this conference because of her.

After this conference I had a chance to met president of UTY. He look smart.

It's great new experience!

          I will share about my new experiences. I have never gone to aboard. This is my first time of me.  I have a chance go to YSU in Indonesia for teaching practice. In the morning on 18 July 2016, I went to Don Mueng International Airport with my friends. I have never travel by plane. I 'm so excited! I had many flight. The first, I fly to Kulalumlur of Malaysia. Then I change my flight in there. I must have boarding pass again, but immigration have many questions. He maybe make me check in late. After that, I fly to Jakarta. In there, the rain was falling, so my flight was delay 2hours. Finally, I arrived Yogyakarta 10 pm. My Indonesian friends from Yogyakarta State University pick us up at the airport. They wait us many hours and then they bought the meal for us before took us to the dormitory. They took care us very well. Then we took a rest because we was so tired.

                             

         Next, I would like to tell about my dormitory because it is important for me while I live in Yogyakarta. My room has air conditioner, television, two beds and free WiFi. My dorm is clean because housekeeper cleans the dorm many times. At the dorm, there have two refrigerators for everyone use it together. It is a great thing because some food that I put in refrigerator weren’t stolen. There also has water filter. Everyone is friendly. They gave snack to me. The owner is very kind and sweet smile. Yogyakarta looks like Thailand. The weather is very nice because it is rainy season. At night, I can sleep well. 

Yogyakarta State University

      In the morning, I must go to Yogyakarta State University for meeting lecturers, supervisors, and teachers from SMPN 1 Yogyakarta where I will be observation and teaching practice there. I'm glad to meet them. They are kindness and warm welcome. After that, I had a class for learning about Indonesian cultural, Bahasa Indonesian, and the places for traveling around Yogyakarta. It's interesting because I have ever known about something such as Javanese Indonesian and Bahasa Indonesian are different language. In addition, Indonesia has many language and also has many island. The main of islands are Sumatra Java Kalimantan Sulawesi Maluku and Papua.I knew Yogyakarta is one of Java. After class, I had brunch with Salad Indonesian. It is delicious! In this class,I met new Indonesian friends. They are so cute. They took us for traveling around YSU. I was very happy to meet you all.

SMPN 1 Yogyakarta 

           Today, I just ovservation at school with my friends and teachers. Some students tell about thier school for us. They can explain in English and we follow them to walk around school. We visited music room, school infirmary, classroom, library, science room , computer room and teacher room. Then, we went our room. It is the room for teacer trainer. 

       Teachers and students can borrow some books from library. In the library has a lot of books. Almost textbooks are Bahasa Indonesian. For me, English books are interested because it emphasize 4 skills in English( speaking, writing, reading, and listening). It is important for learning English successful.

         Today, I early woke up in the morning because I must go to school. My school is not far from my dorm. I can walk to there about 5 minutes and I can remember route. The students have the class 7 am. and they have finished about 1 pm. Today I observed around school and  I met students in the class for checking their name. After that, I don't do nothing. I just talked to new Indonesian friends. They are teacher trainer at school. Then, I met Mr. Ponijo. He is my teacher coach. We discuss about lesson plan and his schedule of classes.  

         After school, I went to Malioboro with Yusuf and his friends. Yusuf is one take care of us while we live in Yogyakarta. We went to there by motorcycle. I bought long skirt. The price is the same in Thailand. I was excited. I saw a horse carriage like the past of Thailand. Then, I walked around market festival and visited gallery. It was very interesting. Many pictures are a good meaning. I like it so much!

    

                                                                         

               I'm greeting the students in the morning. It's very nice!  They are very lovely. I felt very good. They raise my hand and touch thier cheek meanwhile they said " Selamat pagi". And I said " Selamat pagi" too. It means "good morning". Today, They wore traditional customs that made from Batik. It is very beautiful suits so I would like take photos with them. 

  

                     

      They are  my Indonesian friends at SMPN 1 Yogyakarta. Today is based on Javanese calender on Kamis pahing so they would wear thier traditional customs. It is very beautiful suits. This suits made from ฺBatik. I would like to wear like them. They are Mathermatic,English, and Science teacher trainer another university. I'm glad to meet you all. They are cool person!
